What is Degrees?

Degrees is a free daily K-pop trivia game: six degrees of separation, played with real idols. Every day, all players worldwide get the same START and TARGET idol and race to connect them through a chain of genuine relationships — shared groups and subunits, record labels, collaborations, survival shows and even real-life siblings.

Your score is the length of your chain: matching the shortest possible route (par) earns the Daesang 🏆. There is nothing to install and no account to create — your streak and stats live in your browser, and you can share a spoiler-free photocard of your result.

How to play

  1. Look at today's START and TARGET idols.
  2. Type any idol, group, subunit or label directly connected to your current position — search works in English and 한글, including 초성 shorthand.
  3. Keep hopping until you reach the target; fewer hops means a bigger award.
  4. Stuck? Misses unlock a distance hint and, later, a revealed step. You can undo hops freely.

FAQ

Is the Degrees K-pop game free?

Yes — completely free in the browser, with no app to install and no account. A new puzzle appears every day at midnight local time.

What counts as a connection between idols?

Only factual, public relationships: being in the same group or subunit, signing to the same label, an official collaboration song, competing on the same survival show, or being real-life siblings.

What is par and how is the puzzle scored?

Par is the shortest chain that exists between the day's two idols. Matching par wins the Daesang; each extra hop steps the award down (Bonsang, Music Show Win, Charted).

Can I play more than one puzzle per day?

The daily puzzle is shared by everyone, once per day — but practice mode generates unlimited extra puzzles without touching your streak.

Can I search idols in Korean?

Yes. Names match in hangul (정국), by Korean birth name (도경수), or with 초성 consonant shorthand (ㅂㅌㅅㄴㄷ → 방탄소년단), and the interface can display every name in hangul.
